Medellín. –Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM) responded to the request of the Procuraduría General de la Nación (Attorney General’s Office) regarding information on the tests for the start-up of generation units three and four.
According to EPM, as it was done with units one and two, to synchronize units three and four of the Hidroituango power plant, all start-up tests were carried out in accordance with international standards.
In addition, the company highlighted that different tests were performed for the four units, such as slow rotation, no-load balancing, speed and voltage regulator adjustments, among others.
EPM also pointed out that during all these tests, stability and vibrations of the units were verified, concluding that their behavior-amplitude and frequencies-is similar to that of units one and two.
